Concrete Truck Hits Pole, Knocks Out Power

GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Hundreds of Consumers Energy customers still didn’t have power several hours after a concrete truck took out a pole on 172nd Avenue Monday morning.

The mishap took place just before 4 a.m. on 172nd Avenue where the street, which runs parallel to US-31, bends to the east.

As of 7 a.m., about 402 customers still lacked power, according to the company.

There were no injuries.
