JACKSON, Mich. — Overnight storms brought down power lines and trees and knocked out power to thousands of Consumers Energy and American Electric customers.
Outages were most extensive in Allegan, Van Buren, northern Kalamazoo, and southern Barry Counties.
Consumers Energy gave FOX 17 county-by-county numbers as of 4:30 a.m.:
- Kent: 350 customers
- Ottawa: 1,338
- Allegan: 9,464
- Barry: 2,849
- Van Buren: 7,479
- Kalamazoo: 8,431
- Muskegon: 1,413
Consumers crews were dealing with so many downed wire reports that some delays were expected.
