Sunday Forecast: Showers & Storms On the Way

Posted

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — After a beautiful start to the weekend Saturday, scattered showers and thunderstorms will pop up Sunday afternoon, forcing some in West Michigan to dodge raindrops to close out the weekend.

An area of low pressure will continue to slowly spin into the Great Lakes, bringing more moisture into the region.  Clouds were already increasing around the state Sunday morning.

Scattered thunderstorms will likely start to develop in the afternoon, although not all areas will see rain during the daytime Sunday.  Rain will likely become more widespread during the night Sunday night and continue off and on through Monday.

Temperatures will remain fairly consistent through the next several days, with seasonable high temperatures in the 70s to near 80°.
