GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Over 45 volunteers are needed to be coarse marshals for the RIDES Twilight and Midnight starting June 21.
The Grand Rapids Public museum is organizing the event, with the Twilight event starting at 8 p.m. and the Midnight Ride starting, of course, at 12 a.m.
Volunteers will be placed in pairs along the two courses to provide directions and hold signs. To register for volunteering, click here. The volunteers are needed in 2 hour shifts (7:30-9:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.-1:30 a.m.) Everyone will receive a t-shirt, free parking and a water bottle.
The event will start on Front Street at the GRPM and follow a seven mile course with short scavenger-hunt type stops at five historical locations in and around downtown Grand Rapids.
The Midnight ride will also start at the GRPM, but will take riders north of the downtown area and incorporate part of the White Pine Trail, encompassing about 13 miles.
If you would like to register for the race, click here. Participant registration is open until June 14 and event-day registration will be available at the GRPM June 21 starting at 6 p.m.
