FRUITPORT, Mich. — Repaving of the stretch of I-96 between Nunica and Norton Shores will be finished this construction season with work on the westbound lanes.
Eastbound I-96 was resurfaced in that 8.4-mile stretch of highway last year.
The project is scheduled by the Michigan Department of Transportation to begin Wednesday, May 29, and continue to an estimated completion date of July 20.
You can expect lane closures off and on during that time from just west of M-104 to US-31. You already are dealing with lane closures from before 112th Avenue to past M-104 as construction related to the northern end of the M-231 project continues with lane and ramp closures.
