Kenyans Sweep Men’s and Women’s 25K Races at Fifth Third River Bank Run

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — Julius Keter of Kenya won the men’s 25K with a time of 1:14:07 and Chemtai Rionoukei of Kenya won the women’s 25K with a time of 1:25:45 at the Fifth Third River Bank Run Saturday morning.

The top American finisher in the men’s division was Mohamed Trafeh who was 2nd overall and established a new 25K record for Americans with a time of 1:14:18.  The next 3 finishers were also Americans,  Josphat Boit was 3rd, Matt Tegenkamp 4th and Christopher Landy 5th.

Dot McMahan was 2nd in the women’s 25K, Mattie Suver 3rd, Tera Moody 4th and Melissa Johnson-White 5th.
