HOLLAND, Mich. — A man struck by the Pere Marquette Amtrak train Monday night died Tuesday.
The man was identified as Ricky Pickett, 52, of Holland. The passenger train was on the return trip from Chicago.
Holland police believe alcohol may have been a factor.
Emergency personnel first received calls around 9;21 p.m. that a man had been struck by a train at Lincoln Avenue and 17th Street. First reports said the man had been sleeping on or near the tracks.
