GRAND RAPIDS, Mich – The Grand Rapids Griffins lost to to the Peoria Rivermen 4-3 in overtime Saturday night at Van Andel Arena, but they clinced a playoff berth because Milwaukee lost to Rockford.
Landon Ferraro scored his 22nd and 23rd goals of the season and Frankie Pare added his 22nd to account for the Griffins scoring.
The Griffins haven’t made the postseason since 2009.
The Griffins have now lost 4 games in a row, they will host Peoria again Friday night, then finish the regular season with road games at Lake Erie and Chicago.
