NEWAYGO COUNTY, Mich. — Charles Hoover was described by neighbors as a man who was deeply religious and had concerned about the world ending.
A criminal record search in Michigan indicates Hoover had two charges dating back to 1972, including marijuana possession and rioting.
The Newaygo County Sheriff’s Department says Hoover, 59, killed his wife and son and then killed himself at their home in northern Newaygo County on Wednesday.
