GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Drivers will begin to feel the effects of renovations being done on the two bridges that carry I-196 over the Grand River near Market Avenue.
The left lane of eastbound I-196 will be closed Saturday and Sunday at Market Avenue and going over the river.
In addition, the ramp from Market Avenue to eastbound I-196 will be closed at the same time. If you regularly use that ramp, Michigan Department of Transportation advises you to drive northeast on Market Avenue and take US-131 to I-196.
The MDOT schedule has all lanes open after 9 p.m. Sunday.
