SILVER SPRING, Md. — A couple of frozen raw foods for dogs and cats carried at a number of small pet shops in West Michigan have been recalled.
Bravo! Chicken Balance frozen raw diet chubs, Bravo! Chicken Blend frozen raw diet chubs, and Bravo! Beef Blend Burgers were voluntarily recalled Wednesday by Bravo! LLC, even though the products have been found free of salmonella. Salmonella was found in other products made by the company at the same time, so this recall is a precaution.
Bravo! products are sold in West Michigan at small pet stores, boutique pet stores, and grooming shops.
The recall was issued in cooperation with the federal Food and Drug Administration.
