INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – Duke defeated Michigan State 71-61 Friday night at Lucas Oil Stadium in the midwest regional. Senior guard Seth Curry scored 29 points, including 6 three pointer’s to lead the Blue Devils who went 24-26 from the free throw line. The Spartans tied a season high by committing 24 personal fouls.
Michigan State (27-9) was led by Keith Appling’s 16 points, Adreian Payne added 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Duke (30-5) advances to play Louisville Sunday with a trip to the final 4 on the line.
