ARLINGTON, Texas – Michigan defeated top-seeded Kansas Friday night at Cowboys Stadium, 87-85 in overtime in the South Region. Michigan (29-7) advancse to the regional final where they will play Florida at 2:20 P.M. for the right to go to the final 4.
Michigan freshman Mitch McGary led the Wolverines with a game-high 25. Trey Burke had 23 including at deep 3 with 4 seconds left in regulation to send it to overtime. Freshman Ben McLemore led Kansas (31-6) with 20 points.
Michigan trailed by as many as 14 points in the 2nd half and were still down 8 with 1:22 left.
