GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- A Forest Hills Central graduate who scammed $28 million in 5 years was featured on CNBCs season premiere of “American Greed” Thursday evening.
Michael Vorce is now locked up in the federal prison in Milan, just outside of Detroit. He is serving 10 years for bank fraud, money laundering and tax evasion. The show focused on Vorce’s means of coming up with fake titles for boats that didn’t exist in order to get bank loans. Vorce had a lavish lifestyle and was well known in the West Michigan scene before it finally caught up to him.
“American Greed” explained how Vorce’s debt was catching up with him and how he got into other fraudulent business ventures.
