MARSHALL, Mich. — The Warman’s Party Store was burglarized Monday, but the surveillance camera was working.
As a result,, an 18-year-old Coldwater man is in jail awaiting arraignment.
The man, who was staying in Marshall when caught, is accused of removing a window to get inside the store. Images of a man wearing a hooded mask were recorded by the camera. Even though a Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department tracking dog lost the trail, detectives pieced together enough information to arrest the suspect and retrieve stolen items that included alcohol and cigarettes.
The store is at 908 E. Michigan Avenue in Marengo Township, just east of the Marshall city limits.
