A Dowagiac woman went to a South Bend hospital Wednesday night after her car struck a horse on a Cass County road.
Krista Harman, 35, told deputies that she was driving northbound on M-51 in southern Pokagon Township southwest of Dowagiac when she struck the horse, which was also in the northbound lane. Her son, Alexander Hartman, 2, was also in the car. Both were wearing seatbelts.
Cass County authorities didn’t mention the fate of the horse.
