WEST MICHIGAN — WEST MICHIGAN — The forecast from FOX 17 Meteorologist Anthony Domol: As skies clear this evening, temperatures will plummet with the new blanket of snow on the ground. Most of us will wake up to readings in the lower teens with wind chills around zero. This will likely lead to ice forming by morning in spots that were left wet after the snow. When temps fall this low, salt loses it's effectiveness to stop ice from forming. The rest of the workweek looks quiet with partly cloudy to partly sunny skies and chilly temps in the middle 20s. There could be a few flurries around Wednesday and Thursday, but accumulating snow is not expected. Our next system to watch will arrive at some point during the back half of this coming weekend.
