WEST MICHIGAN — Expect a cloudy one here on Saturday around West Michigan, quite cool as well. Temperatures are only going to be making it into the mid to upper 30s this afternoon! A weather system sliding off to our south will keep the clouds in place for all daylight hours. A few sprinkles or flurries will be possible along and south of I-94 from mid-afternoon into mid-evening but no impacts will be realized. Winds are to be much lighter today versus the 30-40 mph gusts from yesterday.
Skies will see clouds decrease later this evening into the overnight with chilly lows dropping into the 20s.
Mostly sunny conditions are in order for Sunday with a bit milder afternoon coming about in the low to mid 40s. Northeast winds will be just a touch breezier at 5-15 mph.
The pattern stays quiet early this coming workweek with highs in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees on Monday under a mix of sun and clouds. A weak system passing to our north drags a cold front through late Monday night into Tuesday morning bringing the chance for a few rain showers. Colder air arrives for Tuesday on brisk northwest winds likely gusting to between 30-40 mph. Highs will be in the lower 40s.
A wetter pattern may set up for latter part of the week with some showers potentially returning Wednesday evening. A stronger system looks to arrive late Thursday into Friday with a better chance for rainfall. No big warm-ups are expected over the next 7-10 days. However, no big arctic shots are anticipated either. Look for temperatures to average at or a bit above normal.
