Jack White scored 23 points, but it wasn't enough as the Gold lost at home to the Sioux Falls SkyForce 108-105.
Grand Rapids led much of the game but were outscored 23-18 in the fourth quarter.
The Gold will be in Chicago to play the Windy City Bulls on Friday night.
