The Lions held off a Washington comeback, and Matt Prater hit a 59-yard field goal as time expired. The Lions won 30-27, and are now 4-5 this season.

Detroit won at home for the first time since October 27, 2019.

The Lions watched their 24-3 lead dissolve as Washington scored three consecutive touchdowns. After Prater hit a 37-yard field goal with 2:37 left in the fourth quarter, Washington's Dustin Hopkins tied the game with 21 seconds left.

D'Andre Swift started for the first time in his rookie season, and was outstanding. He had 16 carries for 81 yards, and caught five passes for 68 yards and a score.

Marvin Hall and Marvin Jones each had touchdown receptions that helped the Lions get a big lead. Matthew Stafford bounced back from a couple tough outings, and completed 24 of 33 attempts for 276 yards and three touchdowns.
