GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Volunteers won’t be on construction sites until later this summer, but Habitat for Humanity in Kent County is active again.
The organization’s ReStore location at 5701 Division Avenue S. is open, and construction has resumed.
“We have taken our time with reopening to prepare enhanced health and safety measures that will help keep all ReStore visitors healthy and safe,” noted executive director Bev Thiel in a release.
Shopping at ReStore will be a familiar experience: face masks, social distancing of six feet, extra sanitation, and sanitizer stations.
“While it’s not quite business as usual yet, we are excited to see ReStore shoppers again and to start building more for local families!” Thiel said.
Material donations cannot be accepted yet.
ReStore is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday.
