HUNTINGTON, W. Va. (AP) — A West Virginia bar where seven people were shot on New Year's Day has been shut down and authorities say they are seeking a 30-year-old Michigan man in connection with the shooting.
Huntington Mayor Steve Williams said Thursday that officials have issued a cease and desist order to close Kulture Hookah Bar, citing licensing issues and a failure to pay taxes.
Police said the shooting early Wednesday followed a dispute between people and wasn't a targeted attack. Seven people were wounded.
Huntington Police said Thursday evening that they had obtained an arrest warrant for a Detroit man who's being sought on seven counts of wanton endangerment and one of malicious wounding.
