GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Emily Loeks from Studio C, owners of the largest movie chain in West Michigan, Celebration Cinemas, told FOX 17 Morning News that they learned a lot when they were able to be open for about 45 days earlier this year.

“The data is great,” she says. “With our high ceilings and spacing of people and cinema-safe protocols, there weren't incidences of spread of COVID within theaters.”

The company is making allowances on ticket sales, such as waiving their online ticket fee to allow moviegoers to buy tickets and make seat reservations in advance online.

She is especially looking forward to being able to screen the new Wonder Woman movie in the theaters.

And you can rent a theater for your family or private group. “You can reserve a movie of your choice, both new movies,” Loeks says, “and there's going to be a selection of probably 50 or 100 older holiday classics, family classics, adventure movies.”
