KENTWOOD, Mich. — The Kentwood Police Department says a man walking along Eastern Ave. SE was hit and killed Sunday night.
They got the call to Eastern Ave. SE near Hardwick Dr. just before 9:30 p.m.
They say the man was hit by a car traveling northbound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the driver remained on scene and is cooperating. Investigators say it is unknown if alcohol was involved.
