BYRON CENTER, Mich. — The Kent County Sheriff's office says one person was arrested after a chase involving a stolen vehicle near Tanger Outlets Monday night.

We're told a deputy tried to stop a stolen truck. The driver pulled into the 76th St. truck stop. When the deputy told the driver to turn off the vehicle, they instead took off onto SB US-131 into the closed-off parts of the highway. The truck got stuck at the construction near 100th St.

The people inside the truck ran off, but one person was arrested. KCSO says the other people in the car are being identified, and there is no one the public needs to watch out for.

Deputies, K9s and drones were all involved in the search.
