KENTWOOD, Mich. — A child was seriously injured when they were struck by a vehicle in Kentwood Sunday afternoon.
According to the Kentwood Police Department, the incident happened on Poinsettia Avenue, near Edsel Street, around 3:21 p.m.
Officers and medical personnel provided first aid to the 10-year-old when they arrived at the scene. The child was then taken to the hospital with serious injuries, police said. No one else was injured.
Investigators do not believe alcohol was a factor.
