WALKER, Mich. — The Walker Police Department says a rollover crash Wednesday morning is the reason for a road to be closed for drivers.
Officials say the crash happened just after 9:30 A.M. near O'Brien Road and Maynard Avenue. WPD says a Walker Department of Public Works skid steer was doing roadway shoulder maintenance when an eastbound SUV hit it. This caused the SUV to roll over.
Authorities say the driver of the SUV was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The Walker DPW employee using the skid steer was not hurt.
The Walker Police Department says speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash, and remains under investigation.
