DECATUR TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 20-year-old man from the Lawton area is facing multiple charges for allegedly crashing his car while intoxicated and ending up inside someone's home sleeping in their bed.

Deputies with the Van Buren County Sheriff's office say it happened just before 3 a.m. Monday at a home on County Road 669 in Decatur Township.

We're told a woman inside the home ended up calling 911 saying the suspect came into her house, went into her room and fell asleep.

She told deputies she didn't know the suspect or give him permission to come over. A relative ended up detaining the suspect until deputies arrived.

The sheriff's office says it believes the suspect, whose name has not been released, crashed his car while intoxicated and left the scene and ended up in the woman's home.
