COVERT TWP., Mich. — The Covert Township Police Department is investigating a crash that killed on pedestrian.
The incident happened Monday evening, in the 35000 block of M-140.
The driver of a Dodge Grand Caravan was traveling north bound on M-140 from 34th Ave struck the victim on the road, as the victim was crossing M-140 Hwy from west to east.
A 76-year-old woman from Covert Township was killed as a result of the crash.
The Accident occurred in front of the Covert Township Library.
The woman was transported to the hospital by Covert Township Fire/Ambulance personnel before being pronounced dead at the hospital.
The accident is currently being investigated by the Covert Township Police Department.
