Man sought for armed robbery at Three Rivers party store

THREE RIVERS, Mich. — Police are looking for a suspect who fled after an armed robbery at a party store Saturday night.

The incident occurred at 9:30 p.m. Saturday at Northside Beverage at 135 N. Main St.

The Three Rivers Police Department said that the man entered the store while the clerk was in a back office. He then proceeded behind the counter where he grabbed alcohol and cigarettes as well as opening and emptying the cash register.

The clerk than came to the front of the store as the suspect was exiting the store out the door. The clerk confronted the man, who brandished a black semi-automatic style pistol.

Police described the suspect as being a white male about 6 feet, 1 inch tall with a stocky build, blue eyes and wearing a white bandanna over his face, a black sweatshirt, a blue T-shirt, blue pants and black shoes.
