NOTTAWA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A series of incidents that began with a home invasion ended with the arrest of a suspect hiding out in a burned residence on Findley Road southwest of Centerville in Nottawa Township, reports the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office.

Reports of a shot fired drew deputies to a mobile home park where a man tried to break into an occupied residence, fired a shot, and ran off.

The man was reported to be hiding out in a burned-out residence, and the county Special Response Team was called to the scene.

The suspect was arrested.
