BRIDGMAN, Mich. — Another West Michigan school is closing because of the flu.

On its Facebook page, Bridgman Public Schools said all classes and activities are canceled through Sunday after an emergency with district and building administrators.

School administrators are hoping the three days are long enough for everyone with the flu to get healthy.

Bridgman is the sixth school in West Michigan to cancel classes because of the disease this year.

Other impacted districts include Holland Public Schools, Mendon Community Schools, Zeeland Public Schools and Constantine High School.

During flu season, the easiest way to avoid spreading germs is to wash your hands with warm water and soap for at least 30 seconds, clean commonly touched surfaces, and wash all bedding.
