RODNEY. MICH. — James Hatchew, 55, was arraigned in the 77th District Court for allegedly assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.

We're told Hatchew refused to return snowmobiles to their rightful owner on Feb. 14 when deputies arrived to aid in the return of the property.

After their arrival, one deputy was treated for a broken nose directly resulting from Hatchew’s refusal to follow orders or accept arrest, authorities explain. The deputy was treated for his injury and is currently unable to work.

The suspect is on a $20,000 surety bond.
