Pedestrian seriously hurt in Allegan crash, road closed for several hours for investigation

HEATH TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The Allegan County Sheriff's Office says a pedestrian was seriously hurt in a crash on Tuesday night.

They say the person was hit on M-40 near 136th Ave. in Heath Twp. around 6:00 p.m.

Investigators say the victim went to the hospital in serious condition. M-40 was shut down from 136th Ave. to 47th St. until around 11:40 p.m.

Speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors.
