PORTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. — One person is dead after a Thursday morning crash in Porter Township.
The crash happened about 7:05 a.m. at the intersection of US 12 and Union Road, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
39-year-old Anne Lowry of Constantine was westbound on US 12 when she hit a 68-year-old Union resident, Edward Nienow while he was crossing the street.
Nienow died from injuries caused by the crash.
Lowry was wearing her seat belt.
Drugs and alcohol aren’t believed to be a factor.
Police continue to investigate.
