One hurt, suspect in custody after shooting on Grand Rapids' west side

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Grand Rapids Police Department is investigating a shooting Sunday evening that left one person hurt.

Officers got the call around 6:30 p.m. to the area of Davis Avenue and Leonard Street. Police say one person was shot, and they suffered non-life threatening injuries. The suspect is in custody.
