HOWARD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Cass County police are investigating a shooting that allegedly took place on Saturday.
We’re told the incident occurred in the area of Barron Lake Road and Mannix Street.
Dispatchers received a call at around 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 19, the caller stating that they were in a vehicle when they had been shot at by someone in another vehicle, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies searched the area, where they found multiple vehicles with damage sustained by gunfire, police say, adding that a female victim had been injured by a bullet. We’re told that she was taken to Elkhart General Hospital where she received treatment before being released.
