WHITE PIGEON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — St. Joseph County police responded to a crash on US-12 near Oak Street early Saturday morning.
Multiple vehicles were involved in the crash, according to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office. They say a black Ford Edge, driven by a 46-year-old man from White Pigeon, collided into a semi as the latter backed into a private drive. We’re told neither of the drivers suffered major injuries.
Police say a 46-year-old man from Sturgis driving a silver Ford F-150 then stopped to refrain from hitting either of the two vehicles, only to be struck by a white Chevrolet pickup from behind, driven by an 18-year-old man from Sturgis.
We’re told the driver of the pickup and a passenger from the Ford F-150 were taken to Sturgis Hospital. Police say the driver of the Ford was extricated from the vehicle before being airlifted to Bronson Hospital for major injuries.
