GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — For those looking to go out and enjoy time with friends and family, more attractions are being made available this November.

Courtney Sheffer, Marketing Director for West Michigan Tourist Association (WMTA), joined Fox 17 live to talk about what's new in the area.

First, modern Spanish cuisine is coming to the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel. The 'MDRD' restaurant will be opening its doors for the first time on Tuesday, November 17. Located on the entire 27th floor of the hotel, guests can enjoy river and city views courtesy of the restaurants stadium-style seating. More information can be found here.

Next, Sparta is kicking off the Christmas season with shopping specials, a fireworks display, and a light parade. Visitors are invited to shop during the day, then catch the Christmas Light Parade and Santa tree lighting at 6 p.m. followed by fireworks. You can find further details here.

Finally, St. Joseph is encouraging guests to enjoy the 26th Annual Luminary Festival happening on November 20. The downtown area will be candlelit with 1,000 luminaries and shops will be open late into the evening and throughout the weekend. There will be refreshments, sales, specials, and more.
