LANSING, Mich. — Gov. Gretchen Whitmer will testify virtually on Wednesday in front of the U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.
The governor’s office confirmed the news Monday morning.
The hearing, titled “Building Back Better: Investing in Transportation while Addressing Climate Change, Improving Equity, and Fostering Economic Growth and Innovation,” will focus on infrastructure.
It will be held at 10:15 a.m.
Whitmer made fixing Michigan’s infrastructure a major part of her election campaign in 2018 and again listed it as a priority during last month's State of the State address.
