MICHIGAN — Gov. Gretchen Whitmer did not make the shortlist for Time magazine’s 2020 Person of the Year.
The magazine announced its final four candidates Thursday morning and will unveil the winner Thursday night.
President-elect Joe Biden, President Donald Trump, frontline health care workers and Dr. Anthony Fauci, and the movement for racial justice made the shortlist.
Whitmer had been in the running for the title after a year in which she drew national attention for her response to the COVID-19 pandemic, disagreements with President Donald Trump and the alleged plot to kidnap her.
