Two Grand Rapids area former Art Van stores to be involved in sale to liquidate inventory

KENTWOOD, Mich. — The former Art Van stores in Comstock Park and Kentwood will be the sites of inventory liquidation sales that begin Thursday, July 2, and will run Mondays through Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The sales will be conducted by the parent company of Value City Furniture, which says the total sales value is around $55 million worth of merchandise.

The former Art Van stores in Comstock Park at 4273 Alpine Avenue NW and in Kentwood at 4375 28th Street SE will be just two former Art Van locations involved in liquidation of Art Van inventory. Other stores involved are located in Detroit, Dearborn, Warren, St. Louis, and Baltimore, according to a release from American Signature, Inc., based in Columbus, Ohio, and owner of Value City Furniture.
