LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is adding more statistics to give people a better understanding of the coronavirus pandemic.

Starting Wednesday, this will include the number of people who have recovered from the virus. According to the MDHHS, as of (4/3/2020), 56 people have recovered.

The MDHHS says they will update the recovery numbers weekly and that will include everyone with laboratory confirmed cases of coronavirus that are 30 days out of their initial diagnoses.

The new statistics will also include testing data by state preparedness region and hospital utilization.

They say the testing data will be updated daily.

According to the MDHHS, the hospital utilization will include the number of patients discharges, inpatients, patients in critical care, and the number of people on ventilators. They says this will be updated daily.
