Pedestrian hospitalized after being hit by car

GRAND RAPIDS — One person has been hospitalized after being struck by a car Monday night.

The crash happened in the area of Michigan Street and Fuller Avenue.

Police tell FOX 17 a 41-year-old Grand Rapids resident was struck, but was conscious and talking when transported by emergency crews.

Officials say the driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Police say alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
