NEWAYGO COUNTY — Police say a man was killed when he was struck by a teen driver in Newaygo County.
It happened around 9:40 p.m. on M-37 south of 88th Street in Brooks Township on Sunday night.
According to Michigan State Police, the 51-year-old man was crossing M-37 when he was struck by the 16-year-old driver. Police say the man may have been drinking prior to crossing the street.
MSP says they do not believe speed or alcohol was a factor in regards to the driver.
