FREMONT — Michigan Senator Jon Burnstead has teamed up with Lakes 23 Restaurant and Pub to deliver free meals to first responders throughout Newaygo County.

“Times like this place incredible stress on our first responders who help us all,” said Bumstead. “Lakes 23 Restaurant owner Diane Schindlbeck and I are working to support our local first responder team by offering free meals to those who are working around the clock to protect us."

Lakes 23 is located at 1100 Ramshorn Drive in Fremont and is only open for takeout delivery right now,

“Anyone who would like to join in our effort to pay for these meals can donate a meal by calling our restaurant. Our team will continue to deliver these complimentary meals as long as we can and to where the meals are most needed, such as our Newaygo Sheriff's Office, Newaygo County Jail, EMS, hospitals, fire departments, Newaygo County Central Dispatch, etc,” said Schindlbeck.
