GAYLORD, Mich. — Two members of Michigan State Police's 7th District have been put on administrative leave resulting from an internal investigation.
In a statement, MSP Col. Joe Gasper said the commander and assistant commander of the 7th District were found to have " violated department policy related to the promotion and selection process."
The statement does not specify what they did to violate the policy but says punitive measures will be consistent with labor laws and collective bargaining agreements.
"All allegations of misconduct are aggressively investigated," Gasper continued. The 6th District Commander will assume responsibility of the 7th District's 19-county territory until disciplinary action is complete.
