WHEATLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 24-year-old was hospitalized after the car he was traveling in rear-ended a pickup truck at the intersection of 30th Ave. and Grant Rd.

Nearby road construction was generating a dust cloud that made it difficult to see and led to the crash, according to the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office.

The passenger of the car, a Remus-native, was taken by ambulance to Mclaren Central Michigan Hospital in Mt. Pleasant.

Both the driver of the car and the driver of the pickup are expected to be ok.

Wheatland Township Fire and Rescue, along with Mecosta County EMS, assisted deputies in the aftermath of the crash.
