Police investigate string of seasonal home robberies, thieves take $40K in items from one home

CHIPPEWA TOWNSHIP — Thieves in Mecosta County took an estimated $40,000 in equipment from a home on Miramichi Drive. The call came in Thursday afternoon, just before 4 p.m.

The Mecosta County Sheriff's Office tells FOX 17 neighboring Oceaola County has been investigating three breaking & entering calls that seem to match the theft.

Stolen items include ammunition, 3 guns, a bass boat, 2 four-wheelers, a zero-point turn lawnmower, and many personal items.
