BIG RAPIDS, Mich. — A Mecosta County teenager has been arrested for criminal sexual conduct.

On Tuesday, Mecosta County Sheriff's Department deputies arrested Dylan Snyder, 17, of Mecosta on a warrant for two felony counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Det. Sgt. Casey Nemeth says the arrest stems from incidents that occurred in 2017 and 2018 involving a minor child in the village of Remus.

He said the victim is a young relative of Snyder's, younger than 13, and for that reason the law requires that the CSC charges be first-degree.

Nemeth said that at various points during 2017 and 2018, Snyder and the victim lived in the same house.

On Wednesday, Snyder was arraigned on the CSC charges in 77th District Court in Big Rapids. He posted $25,000 and was released on bond until his next court appearance.
